QA Engineer

We are xpate - a Riga-born fintech building smart payment and banking infrastructure to connect the fragmented payments industry.

Your role at xpate:

You’ll work with product and engineering to keep quality high across our web UI and API products. You’ll combine manual testing with automation, and use AI tools to speed up test design, execution and analysis.

We’re ready to meet you, if…

  • You have 3+ years of experience in software testing, covering both manual and automated testing.

  • You design clear test strategies and test suites for web applications and APIs.

  • You are hands-on with automation, including:

    • Writing regression tests in JavaScript/TypeScript
    • Developing end-to-end (E2E) tests
    • Creating integration tests

  • You use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, AI test generators) to draft test cases, generate test data, identify edge cases, and speed up root-cause analysis.

  • You have strong experience in API testing (REST, Postman) and understand the basics of microservices.

  • Experience with SQL for data checks and validation is a plus.

  • FinTech or payments experience is a plus (you are ready to quickly learn our domain).

  • Solid knowledge of AWS services and tooling is a plus.

  • Experience working with serverless architecture is a plus.

  • You have an English level of B2+ (English-speaking team).

  • You demonstrate flexible, structured thinking and a strong problem-solving mindset.
