Were on the lookout for a Senior Accountant who can take full ownership of accounting across multiple companies, drive process improvements through smart automation, and ensure financial clarity that helps our business thrive across borders.

Your role at xpate:

This role is your chance to be the financial backbone for multiple business units, driving accuracy, compliance, and process innovation every step of the way.

Take ownership of accounting activities for a portfolio of regulated entities (including Electronic Money Institutions) and non-regulated operational companies within the Group.
Contribute to group-wide finance processes and initiatives within a matrixed organizational structure.
Proactively identify and resolve inefficiencies in finance processes by designing and implementing improvements that optimize accuracy and information flow.
Prepare financial, operational, and regulatory reports to ensure full compliance and keep both regulators and internal stakeholders properly informed.
Train and mentor future accounting talent your knowledge will grow the teams capabilities.
Design and document accounting policies in line with regulatory and internal requirements, and drive their implementation through efficient processes and strong internal controls.
Support statutory audits for assigned Latvian entities through accurate preparation, timely responses, and coordination with auditors.
Ensure excellence in tax compliance and planning across key jurisdictions (including Latvia and the UK), while contributing to effective tax management at Group level.

We’re ready to meet you, if…

You have proven experience in full-cycle accounting across multiple jurisdictions.
You bring strong expertise in Latvian and (or) the UK taxation and maintain up-to-date knowledge of local regulatory requirements.
You have a solid understanding of tax frameworks, statutory reporting, and audit processes.
You are comfortable working with modern accounting systems, ideally including Sage Intacct.
You have familiarity with UK accounting principles, which is considered a strong advantage.
You demonstrate a proactive, ownership-driven mindset and are comfortable operating in dynamic environments.
You communicate clearly and effectively, and contribute to the development and mentoring of team members.
You are detail-oriented, with the ability to balance accuracy and timeliness under pressure.
You thrive in complex, fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.
You continuously identify process inefficiencies and drive improvements through practical, scalable solutions
